Day 23 - Day 3 on Phi Phi
Yesterday we decided to take a boat tour around Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. The first hour or two of the tour I was pretty much seasick and throwing up in the bathroom but luckily I felt better after getting in the water. The tour started by taking us to the MONKEY BEACH (I was excited). The monkeys are wild and therefore not to be trusted. One of the monkey's bit a passanger and jumped on Emily (no worries, she's fine). It was really cool being that close to them. Next up they took us to the viking caves and we got to snorkel, among many other things.
I've grown up around water and I've spent all my summer breaks on the beach in Portugal but there is something about jumping off a boat in the middle of the ocean that freaks me out. I'm happy the other girls pushed me to go snorkeling with them! I got to see so many beautiful fishys and really experience how clear the water was. I swam in among the waves in the ocean towards the beach. We watched the sunset and later jumped in to the water when the sun had gone down and it was pitch dark. When the sun was gone we jumped in the water (and I panicked for a second), put our goggles on and got to see the glow in the dark plankton! It's an increible experience and beyond beautiful! This was absolutely my favorite day during our weekend!
