This past weekend I took a trip to Lampang in northern Thailand with lots of the international people. The OIA (Office of International Affairs) organized the trip for us, and we left late Thursday night on Valentine's day and arrived early on Friday morning. All days were packed with things to do, some more fun than others. They had organized an elephant conservatory visit for us, but 15 of us did not go because we did research on the place and found out that the elephants are chained and trained into doing shows... I do not support any type of animal abuse and didn't wanna participate, so instead we went to a temple close to the conservatory. We got to weave baskets, learn how to make Thai food and meet Thai people. Everybody was assigned a Thai Buddy and before coming to Lampang we had no idea that we were getting one, the Buddy's had gifts for us, but since we didn't know about it, none of us did.
Day 1:
We got to go to a elementary school during the day, and accoriding to the scheduele and the OIA's office it was to teach english but all we did was play games with them. I honestly think that things like this is a bit werid but the kids really enjoyed it and the best thing for them was to ask if we had boyfriends/girlfriends and if we answered YES, they started giggeling like all 14 year old girls do.

In the evening we had dinner with the Lampang Campus teachers and the Thai Buddy's we were assigned. The dinner was A M A Z I N G! As a vegetarian you can't expect too much but the food in Lampang was so so so good for being a vegetarian!
