20190210 Ayutthaya
It is hard updating the blog everyday when I'm gone most of the week and I don't bring my computer with me because I don't want it to get lost. Thursday last week, Emma arrived from Sweden and is spending a week here, meaning she leaves in two days. While I'm in  school she's entertaining herself because there's plenty of things to do around the campus. This weekend we went to Ayuytthaya with the other girls, and Kipras (he's in the same program as me in Sweden). Ayutthaya is the ancient capital where lots of old temples burned up several years ago, it was really cool to walk around the area just looking at ruins.

Last night after getting back I had to study and later we stayed in to watch a movie.
Once upon a time, the head of the Buddah fell off and the tree grew around it. Nature is amazing!
People riding elephants down the streets of Ayutthaya. PLEASE STOP DOING THIS! We did not see any westerners ride the elephants... I don't know if it has to do with knowledge, but nevertheless, this is so sad to see, and the person in the front had a long stick with a pick at the end to hurt the elephant if he did something wrong. These elephants are walking down busy streets with cars and tons of people when they should be in the jungle, far away from all these sounds and stress.
We found a new friend on the trainride home, he was adorable!
